Just the Brows

Today was all about running tons of errands, and doing loads of homework. So I opted to wear something comfortable but still a bit stylish.

Pieces:
Top- Vintage lingerie shop
Cardigan- Target
Jeans- Kohl's
Boots (not pictured; just short black lace-up boots)- Payless

However, I finished off my lovely day with pizza and getting my eyebrows done. They went from this:

To this:

You may not see the difference, but I see a dramatic change.

Anyway, that's all for today. Hope all is well.
xoxo

Simple as...

Hi guys! So Saturday was my baby cousin's 2nd birthday and we had a pretty big party for him with friends and family. I was the resident photographer for the day. In all honesty, the photos could have turned out better if I just tested out some other settings, which disappoints me, but my aunt loves them. So I suppose I did my job for the day. This is the gist of what I wore.

Pieces:
Shirt- Thrift store
Shorts- I don't remember, I've had them for years
Socks (not pictured; they're brown knee-highs)- Walmart, I believe

February Wants: Fashion

There are definitely some pieces that I am LONGING to add to my wardrobe this month. These are the main items that come to mind.

Throughout the winter-time I have really gotten into knee-high socks and thigh-high socks. They go with my short shorts, dresses, skirts, and over sized sweaters, not to mention suuuuper high wedges, peep-toe shoes, and little booties. They're warm and, I think, extremely cute.
My only problem with American Apparel is a serious one. Their pricing! I understand that all of the clothes are made in Downtown Los Angeles (American-made, YAY!), and that they're manufactured beautifully but wow! I just gasp every time I go onto their website. It pains me when I find, literally, hundreds of items that I love when they are all severely overpriced. I mean, come on! $18 for a pair of socks....

In my mind, a good pair of high waisted shorts is an essential and these are very alluring. I spotted these not too long ago, and fell head over heals. Not to mention, maroon is one of my favorite colors to wear.

Alright, obviously I'm not expecting to get this bag anytime soon, being that it's expensive as hell. But can we just take a second to appreciate the beauty. First off, the color. Beige is weirdly, one of my most worn colors and this texture adds some much loved dimension to the bag. Second, the shoulder strap. Such a small feature, but I am almost never attracted to a purse if it doesn't have a shoulder strap (except for my Louis Vuitton Speedy). It makes the overall look more laid back and approachable. And of course, the stud pickups on the bottom. It's so often overlooked, but I'm sorry, if I'm spending this much money on a bag I don't even want the bottom getting dirty. And this makes that worry of mine, disappear.
All in all, this is my lust of the month.

It's unique, it's stylish, it's unusual, it's gorgeous. It's a simple love.

Olive & Knee Highs

Hi, there. I'm not sure if anyone is really reading any of this yet, but here goes. Today was my baby cousin's first lacrosse game for her school. Thankfully, they won! 11-4. It was such a good game and I'm incredibly proud of her.
Whenever I go pretty much anywhere, I seem to be extremely overdressed. I try to adapt my style to what tasks I have to complete for the day, but it's still always a little much to how everyone else is dressed. This is my way of dressing down a bit, though. However, my choice in shoes for a lacrosse field was not the best.

I think the main highlights of this outfit are the over-sized cardigan, the two-toned bag, and of course, the knee tights (however annoying they may be).

Pieces:
Dress- Forever 21
Cardigan- My grandmother's closet
Tights- Target
Shoes- Thrift store (originally from Forever 21)
Bag- Thrift store

Guilty Pleasures: Red Bulls

I know some people believe that energy drinks are like hell's child but I can't live without them. Specifically: Red Bull. Ugh, I just don't see how people go on without them. I can wake up the least motivated person in the universe, pop open a can of Red Bull and guzzle it down, and suddenly I want to complete all tasks I've ever wanted to complete. I do believe that my drink preference has all sorts of deadly toxins in it, but the taste is satisfying and it gets me gooooooin'!

By the way, I am currently working on the can above. It's only got about 1/10th left.
